Katherine Radakovich Obituary

KATHERINE RADAKOVICH Gary, Indiana Age 76, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Christus St. Catherine Hospital. Born October 16, 1931. She was a lifelong resident of Gary and Merrillville. A lifelong member of SS. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. A graduate of Froebel High School, Class of 1949. She was employed at the Lake Co. Township Trustee in Gary. She also was employed at St. Anthony's Hospital in the Admissions Dept. She was employed in the Quality Control Dept. at Inland Steel Company and a member of USW 1010. Preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Evangeline Kremizes; sister, Helen Southwell. Survivors: daughter, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Thomas of Katy, Texas; son, Robert Radakovich of Spring, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Haley Esposito, Elyse and Bryan Radakovich; sister, Bess Delcourt of Lisle, IL; brother, Richard Radakovich of Portage; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 2 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Thursday at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St., Merrillville. Prayer service 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. She will be taken Directly to SS. Constantine & Helen Cathedral at 9:30 a.m. on Friday for services at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ted Poteras officiating. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.

Don't know why my entry was not received a few days ago, but Robb and Liz, just want you to know that Kathy was a sweetheart in our lives. She was always so much fun at the many birthday parties we attended for the grandkids! You know that our hearts go out to you in this difficult time......may God keep you in His loving arms. Losing your mom is awful, but you must know she is at peace! Love you

It really sadden me to learn about the death of your love one. Kathy and I have been friends for over ten years and kept in contact with one another until recently. I pray that you find comfort in knowing that she is at rest now in a better place where there is no suffering or pain. Kathy was a wonderful person and she will truly be missed.

Kathy was a wonderful woman, she was kind, loving, and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. I'm thankful to have known her even if only for a short time.
