We never ask for miracles,
But today, just one would do,
To see the door push open,
And see you walking through.
If we could have one lifetime wish,
One wish that would come true,
We would wish with all our hearts,
For "you".

You are now in gods hands. Their is where true life begins, but as time goes on day by day that is where family and friends will meet again.
God bless.

Dear Verlin,
I'm not even sure if you're the same Verlin Sikes who worked with my husband, Ray Weir, at Deep Rock
in the '50s. We wanted to come by
the funeral home to express our
condolences for the loss of your son. He must have been a wonderful
son by these beautiful words written about him. It started to rain very hard when we planned to go, so we decided not to, which turned out to be a good idea because Ray started feeling dizzy.
He had cataracts & decided to have
his blind eye done, too. He can see out of it after 55 years being
blind, but he sees double; and I
think that was causing his dizziness. We were sorry to miss
the opportunity of seeing you after
all these years.
Sincerely,
Ray & Shari Weir

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
