Leandea James-Brumfield

1923 - 2018

Leandea James - Brumfield age 94, passed away Tuesday August 7, 2018. She was born to Ed and Vinia James on December 18, 1923 in Oak Ville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband; Wilbert Brumfield, one child Ira Jean Currie, one grandson Vincent Scott Currie and eleven siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory, six children; Eddie Lee (Earline) Nichols, Eddie Earl Nichols, Delphine Slater, Kim Hardin, David Brumfield and Judy Bell, three sisters; Eldora Ayers, Dixie Lee Baker and Nettie Lee Parker, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday August 14, 2018 10am until time of service at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church 2307 Rhode Island Street 46407 Gary, Indiana. Funeral service will follow immediately at 11am. Rev. Hugh C. Nelson Officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery Hobart, Indiana.
