My sincere condolences to the entire Lula M. Rucker family. I first met Mrs. Rucker at the Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts in Gary during the mid1980's where I was a teacher. She asked me to "keep an eye" on her two grandchildren, Dante Brown and Robyn Rucker. Mrs. Rucker, you should be very proud of these two productive citizens; I know that I am after all these years.

Thank you, as well, for encouraging me in my early years as an educator in the Gary community. May you rest in peace! TEK
