Martha (Moore) Lasenby made peace with God on the morning of Tuesday, September 07, 2021. She moved to Gary, IN in 1951 from Greenville, MS. She graduated with honors from Roosevelt High School Class of 1963 and retired from Clark Nursing Home in 2001. She was preceded in death by loving parents Ting and Ida Mary Moore; her loving husband Lowell Thomas (Fats) Lasenby Sr.; sisters Annie E. (James) Moore-Dempsy, Rose Mary (Sol Morgan) McClinton; nephew Clarence (Aretha) Moore; niece Trenetta D. McClinton; son-in-law Robert J. Woods; and loving grandsons Mark S. Lasenby, James F. Duncan III and Joshua T. Duncan. She leaves to celebrate her life her loving brothers James Moore of Riverside, CA and Nathaniel Moore of Eagan, MN. Dearest niece Rose McClinton of Crystal, MN. Her wonderful children Latanza D. Lasenby of Gary, IN, Rhoda Lasenby of Hobart, IN, Lowell (Cynequa) Lasenby, Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI, Michelle Woods and Charles (Etha) Lasenby. Eleven amazing grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren. A host of loving family and friends. The celebration of life for Mrs. Martha (Moore) Lasenby will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, with a public viewing at 9:00am-11:00am and funeral services at 11:00am; under the care of Smith-Bizzell & Warner Funeral Home located 4209 Grant Street, Gary, IN 46408. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.

My deepest condolences to her family. Martha was a loving person and my memories of our times together will last my lifetime...to her children who too I love with cherished memories...take care and hopefully our paths will again cross
