(Dietz) of Waterford, formerly of Atlanta; December 13, 2018; age 99; Dear wife of the late Joe T. Schneider; Loving mother of JoAn (Richard) Drake, Joseph (Joe) Schneider and the late Diane Norris. Dear sister of Betty Pietrzak, Regina Senger, Helen Imberi and preceded in death by Eva, Katie, Maggie, John, Joseph and Mike. Beloved grandmother of nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and the late Regina. Mary was born on April 1, 1919 on the family farm in Emmons County, North Dakota. She was the third daughter of ten children of Anton and Margaret Dietz. She moved to Pontiac in 1939 and married Joe Schneider on November 6, 1943. They lived in Pontiac until 1970, when they moved north to Atlanta, Michigan, where she lived until moving to Waterford in 2014. The Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 134 Airport Road, Waterford. Celebrant Father Jack H. Baker. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the RIVERSIDE CHAPEL, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, and at the Church on Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of service.
