MINNIE P. WILLLIAMS age 78 of Gary Indiana transitioned into Abraham's bosom on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Methodist Northlake Hospital. She was born in Cherokee, Alabama to James Johnson and Annie Willie Johnson. She was a member of Solid Rock Church in Lake Station, a 1960 graduate of Washington High school in East Chicago, Indiana and a graduate of Purdue University Northwest School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for over 40 years at St Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana. Minnie was preceded in death by her father James Johnson, her brother Willie James Johnson, husband Rev. Joe Henry Williams, and daughter Lisa Renee Williams. She is survived by her mother Annie W. Johnson; 2 daughters Leatrice Williams and Leslie Williams; sister-in-law Hattie Johnson; nephews Kevin Johnson and Braylon Johnson; special friend Eva Wilson and hosts of relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, January 4, 2021 from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. all services at Solid Rock Church 3328 E. 35th Avenue, Lake Station, IN. Bishop Brent Endris officiating. Interment Fern Oaks Cemetery.
