I’ve known Doc Odies since the Roosevelt High Band days. He was a Senior when I was a Freshman. However we both had private lessons with the legendary A.K. Williams. Doc Odies was my physician, fellow musician and a friend. I extend my sincere condolences to his wife Annette and the Williams family.

I am heartbroken over the loss of my valued lifelong friend and Primary Care Physician. Dr. Odies was a sweet, wonderful man and an exceptional physician who cared for his patients with genuine concern and he would always make you feel at ease while providing diligent care. He was a physician to a number of my relatives as well. He was just like family.

In addition to Dr. Odies's medical acumen, he was a gifted musician who cultivated his craft. At some of my office visits with him and his trumpet was within reach I'd say, "play to me Doc play to me" and he would oblige me.

I shall miss his friendly smile and warm.presence and may the Lord grant his family with comfort and peace while the heavens welcome him.
