RICKEY JAMES AUSTIN Calumet Township Age 61, was brought into this world on February 21, 1945 and was called Home to rest on June 9, 2006. He is survived by: wife of 28 years, Mary Alice Austin; sons, Patrick Austin of Gary, Christopher Paul (Laurie) Anderson of Everett, WA. Preceded in death by his parents, Dovie and Gordon Austin; and brothers, Barney Austin and Wayne Austin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 10 AM at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Pastor Joseph Anweiler and Elder Russell Smiddy officiating. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Bocken Funeral Home from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mr. Austin was a lifetime resident of the Calumet Area. A member and Trustee of Cline Gardens Christian Church of Hessville, where he is also a member of the Dartball Team. Rickey retired from the Purdy Company in 1983 after 20 years of service as a brake mechanic. He was an umpire and coach of the Black Oak Little League Baseball Team.
