ROBERT HENRY STOFFREGEN, SR. "Bob" Key Largo, FL Formerly of Hammond, IN Age 79, passed away January 25, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Josephine (nee Brennan); his brother, Marx (Marge) Stoffregen; his children Theodore (Yolanda) Stoffregen of Miller Beach IN, Joellen (Ken) Griffin of Chesterton IN, Michael (Sandi) Stoffregen of Munster IN, Matthew (Jeanne) Stoffregen of Lake Village IN, Ginger (Jeff) Richardson of Hammond IN, Phillip (Lisa) Stoffregen of Indianapolis IN, Margaret (Terry) DeYoung of Munster IN, Mary Kate (Nick) Scandone of Fountain Valley, CA, Amy (Maurice) Klefeker of Littleton CO; grandchildren, Jonathan Stoffregen, Joshua (Desiree) Stoffregen, Matthew Milletary, Kevin Milletary, Beth Milletary, Kelly Griffin, Kim Griffin, Richard Stoffregen, Michael Stoffregen, Gina Stoffregen, Nicholas Stoffregen, William Richardson, Meggie Richardson, Patrick Stoffregen, Katelyn Stoffregen, Lauren Stoffregen, Jacob DeYoung, Jessica DeYoung, Dylan DeYoung, Jolie Klefeker and Madalyn Klefeker; great-grandchildren, Sam Stoffregen, Claire Milletary, Leo Milletary and Peyton Stoffregen; beloved sisters-in-law, Kathleen Engel-brecht and Mary Ginther; and dozens of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sons, Robert Jr. and Peter, and his parents, Ted and Irma. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. Directly at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Drive, Dyer, IN. Rev. Charles Niblick officiating. At rest Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Robert will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Friends may call at the Solan-Pruzin Funeral Home (Corner of Main & Kennedy), Schererville/Dyer, on Monday from 3 - 8 p.m. Robert was a proud veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Naval Forces. Retired after 53 years from Millwrights Local 1693 and President of Robert Henry & Associates. "Cadillac Bob" was a friend of Bill and Bob.

I wish to pass on my deepest sympathies to Phillip Stoffregen and his entire family in the loss of Robert Stoffregen, the Stoffregen patriarch. I regret I had only one opportunity to meet Mr. Stoffregen but just in that one sitting you could see the eyes of a very proud man. He will be missed.
