Ronnie York Obituary

Ronnie York, age 63, of Merrillville passed away Thursday December 9, 2021, in Southlake Methodist Hospital. Ronnie was born February 5, 1958, in Gary, Indiana to Paul and Edith (Campbell) York. He was an electrician retired from US Steel. Ronnie loved to read and tinkering with electronics. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Schererville.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Marlene (Buitrago-Vargas) York; his mother, Edith Campbell of Gary; two brothers, Kenneth (Dorothy) York of Portage and Gregory York of Gary; one sister, Pamela York of Gary; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul York; his sister, Debbie York; and a special niece, Allison.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday December 14, 2021, at Rees Funeral Home 600 W. Old Ridge Road Hobart, Indiana 46342. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the funeral service. Cremation will follow.
