I was saddened to hear of the passing of Ruth Powell. She trained me on the post partum unit of Methodist Hospital when I first became employed as a nurse. She was highly admired and respected. May God bless you during this difficult time.

A great lady has gone to be with her Father and her family that has gone before her. Any time, any where, any circumstance, she was ready to fly out the door and help others. May we all remember her tenacity and determination to serve her fellow man and her God. Words cannot express to her children my deepest love and sympathy to you all at this time.

Our condolences go out to the Ruth Powell Family. I remember Mrs. Powell at First A.M.E when Atreus, Keith and I attended and participated in the Sunday School and Church services under Rev. Hunter. Mrs. Powell was one of the caring individuals at First Church who will not be forgotten by those of us who knew her.

My deepest sympathy to all in the Powell family. I loved Nana and can say my mom and dad gave me her name as my middle name. I still smilewhen I remember that if any of us that needed something great to wear, her closet was always available as long as it didn't have the tags on still. Please know that if I still lived in the area I would be there as your mom was there for us when both of my parents passed away. Love you all. Tutti

Very saddened to hear about Mrs. Powell's passing. It is like the end of an era now that all our parents have passed away. She loved sitting with my parents on the front porch in the afternoons. Today would have been a perfect day for them to be out there.
