Sheila Chaney Obituary

SHEILA J. CHANEY Chesterton, Indiana Sheila J. Chaney, age 73, of Chesterton, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 in the Porter Valparaiso Hospital Campus. Sheila was a teachers aide for Self School retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Vale Church of Christ. Sheila was born in Asphalt, Kentucky, on October 14, 1933 to the late Cecil Lewis and Edna Hazlip Lewis. She was married to the late Kenneth L. Chaney on January 6, 1952 in Hobart, Indiana and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1994. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Lynn Chaney of Kentucky, Devin Marie (Alexander) Mitchell of Chesterton, IN, and Dawn Sue (James) Mount of Chesterton, IN; sister, Sharon (Larry) Jackson of Prattville, AL; brothers, Ed (Judy) Lewis of Chesterton, IN and Danny (Jackie) Lewis of Brownsville, KY; 3 grandchildren, Bryce, Melusine and Loren Mitchell. Graveside sevices will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. Interment in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, Indiana. The visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Chesterton, IN. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. www.funeral1.com
