I was sorry to hear the passing of your mom, grand mom, great grand mom, co-worker and friend. Shelly who always greeted you with a smile on her face. I worked with Shelly as a window clerk at the Merrillville post office she was T-6 over the window clerks. I will forever be grateful for Shelly getting me to apply for a position in the finance office downtown. I spent the last 14 years of my postal career working as a payroll and data collection clerk. I thank you for having a genuine mom who would help those around her. You are blessed to have shared a lifetime of memories,

I was so shocked to see Shelly's obit in the paper! She was a lifelong friend of my mother, Anna Coates, and my first employer as a babysitter for Kim and Kendall. I am truly sorry for your loss and pray that your family find comfort in warm memories and the knowledge of the love she had for you.
