THELMA COLBERT
(nee Hall)
Age 90, departed this earthly life Saturday, July 3, 2010. She was born November 15, 1919 in Yazoo, Mississippi and moved to Gary, Indiana in 1942. Preceded in death by her husband, Shelley Colbert; daughter, Maxine Maddox; parents, Dudley and Susie Hall; sisters, Lillian Davis, Katie Williams, Ruthie Lee Roberts and Gladys Robinson; brothers, Dudley Hall, Jr., Earl Hall, and Ervin Hall. Thelma leaves to cherish her memory two loving sons, Ernest (Julieus) Johnson and Steven J. Whiitfield; three granddaughters, Amy C. Johnson, Jorie K. Johnson and Emily A. Vorice, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation and Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 20th Century Baptist Church, 700 W. 11th Avenue in Gary, Indiana. Visitation 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. and Funeral Service 2 p.m. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, 3815 W. 39th Avenue, Hobart, Indiana.
