Vera Harris

1952 - 2017

Vera Jean Jamison Harris "China Doll", age 64, traded this life for eternity on August 18, 2017. She was born September 13, 1952, in St. Louis, MO. She was a Gary resident for 25 years, formerly of Chicago. She was the eldest of 3 children, born to Johnny and Minnie Jamison. She gave her life to Christ at God's Way Church of Deliverance in 2009 and remained a faithful member until her illness and death. Vera is survived by her loving mother, Minnie White; devoted husband, Charles D. Harris; daughter, Darlene L. Terrell; six sons, Gregory C. Harris, Robert J. Jamison, Treymane E. Jamison, Darricke L. Jamison, Patrick T. (Brittany) Jackson and Kevin D. (Litrianna) Harris; adopted son, Tavis G. Schnaidt; brother, Johnny (Mary) Jamison, Jr.; sister, Denise (Roderick) Taylor; one brother and sister; many other relatives and friends.
