VIRGINIA D. HORNSBY Age 81 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald. Mrs. Hornsby was born on February 3, 1922 in Union City, Tennessee to tha late Francis McDaniel and Carrie Rice McDaniel. She had lived in the community for 10 years coming from Florida. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for her family's business, H & M Sales, in East Chicago, Indiana. Mrs. Hornsby was a member of the Arbor Baptist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and a former member of the Arbor Lights choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Pascal Hornsby, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors include her son, Dennis L. Hornsby of Hammond, Indiana; grandson, Justin A. Hornsby of Hammond, Indiana; brother, Rufus McDaniel of Crown Point, Indiana. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2004 to the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, Georgia with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating.
