Adeline Carlson Obituary
Adeline J. Carlson, 89, a resident of Lake Forest, IL for more than 25 years and formerly of Waukegan, IL and Appleton, WI, died February 28, 2013. Adeline, or Addie as she was called, would have celebrated her 90th birthday this year and her 70th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2013. Addie and John loved their family, good friends, travel, their lake house in Green Lake, WI and their place in Florida. Addie was an avid reader and a fan of old movies. She embroidered hundreds of towels for her church's annual charity sale and was a valued member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and its choir. She was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed attending the opera. Addie was an Executive Secretary at various business and educational institutions, including Lawrence University, Lake Forest Academy, and Lake Forest College.

Grandmother of Michael (Katie) Carlson of Noblesville, IN, Christopher (Brooke) Carlson of Noblesville, IN, David Carlson, Carmel, IN, Matthew (Molly Segelin) Leonetti of Richmond, VT and Oliver (Anne Rogers) Leonetti, of Portland, OR, Rebecca (Daniel) Fields of St. Louis, MO, Jill (Ryan) Jaeger of Milwaukee, WI. Great-grandmother of Danica and Zachary Carlson of Noblesville, IN, Seth and Avery Carlson of Noblesville, IN, Aurora and Cedar Leonetti of Richmond, VT and Sophia and Opal Leonetti of Portland, OR, Ellie, Eli and Liam Fields of St. Louis, MO, Brett Jaeger of Milwaukee, WI.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 620 West Grove Avenue, Waukegan, IL 60085. Visitation 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Wenban Funeral Home, 320 E. Vine Ave., Lake Forest, IL 60045 and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, Monday, March 4, 2013, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock, IL. My deepest and most sincere condolences on the loss of your Mom. I knew her from work at Lake Forest College. She was a wonderful person and a great mentor. I will never forget her.
