Alec Tauber Obituary
Alec Wayne Tauber, age 14, entered into eternal life in God's safe keeping on March 3, 2017 at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born August 16, 2002 in Appleton, the son of Wayne and Shelly Tauber. Alec was currently an 8th grader at Hortonville Middle School. He attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System from Preschool through 7th grade. Alec enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was very social and was always the one who tried to cheer everyone up with his contagious smile. He wanted everyone to be happy - that was his dream. He would stand up to bullies and protect others from being bullied as well. Alec was the kind hearted one who would stay after a class to help clean up, or help a student who had just accidently dropped everything in their arms between classes. Alec was the one who would sit next to a student who would be eating lunch alone encouraging his friends to join them. He always thought of others first. His most recent passion was wrestling for the Hortonville Middle School where he had just succeeded in his 11th straight pin. He also enjoyed football. He played flag football in elementary school, went on to play Pop Warner football and was so proud of himself when he was selected to be a team member of the U.S. National Football team. Alec enjoyed playing his saxophone, listing to Jazz music, snowboarding, water skiing and riding his 4-wheeler. He was also very creative and loved to draw and do woodworking.
Alec is survived by his parents; his sister, Taylor; his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Margaret Tauber; his maternal grandparents, Rhody and Joyce Wiczek, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral Mass for Alec will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 8th at St. Thomas More Church, 1810 N. McDonald Street with Father Jim Lucas officiating. Visitations for Alec will be held Tuesday, March 7th at Valley Funeral Home from 4:00 - 8:00 pm; and on Wednesday from 9:00 - 10:30 at the church.
Alec will be deeply missed by all. Our hearts have been broken, but we must believe that he is in an amazing place being greeted by God, our father, Jesus and the Blessed Mother who will keep him safe until we see him again.

When my daughter was left out and feeling alone Alec always yelled her name down the hall or across the cafeteria to cheer her up. And for that, this young man will always be near and dear to me. I'm so sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and the family for your loss. God speed.
