Heather, Abigail, Lydia, Emily, and Vivian: Although I do not know you as a family, I feel that the loss of your husband and father tugs at my heart in a couple of ways: I was a career math teacher at NHS until 2000 AND Dick Basham is a former roommate of mine at Wartburg College. Please take solace in knowing that Andrew could not have made better choices than working for the NJSD and playing and coaching at Marquette High! Please accept my sincere sympathy. I encourage you to continue to remember your husband and father in all the positive ways he has influenced your lives and those of many others. May God bless you in the days ahead.

John, Amy & family,
Words cannot express the heartfelt sorrow I feel for you as parents of Andrew. No parent should have to experience the death of a child, but God must have a plan that we cannot know now but will one day when we join him. Please accept my prayers for you guys to remember all the good times and look forward to sharing his life with his daughters. I only met him at age 4, when you all came to Sheboygan for a 10th anniversary MSOE reunion, but will always remember how a little boy, scared of our little poodle ran pell mell right through our back deck screen door! It was quite a site and hopefully did not traumatize him about dogs! God bless you all and hope we can get together in the future as the world returns to some kind of normal again.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I was fortunate to work with Andrew at NJSD. He was an exceptional young man who was an integral part of the administrative team. I especially remember his quiet sense of humor, kind-heartedness, keen intellect, and work ethic. May your wonderful memories of Andrew and your strong faith comfort you during this difficult time.

Andrew was the epitome of a gentleman. He was brilliant, professional, and a pure joy to be around.
Heather and family, may your memories comfort you at this time of sorrow. I am better for having known your amazing husband and father, please know that he had a strong impact on all whom he touched in his short life.
May God watch over all of you on this journey.
