Arlene M. Booth, age 91, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord with her family by her side on Thursday, May 14, 2015. She was born on May 21, 1923 and resided in Appleton where she met and married Fred C. Booth on July 26, 1947, and they spent fifty-six wonderful years together.

Arlene is survived by her daughters: Mary Riley, Nancy (Bob) Bertram, and Sandra (Glenn) Luther; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one niece Marilee Miller, and one son-in-law Baird Swanson. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred; daughter Joanne Swanson; and three brothers.

Funeral liturgy for Arlene will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. A time of gathering will take place after the funeral mass.

Arlene's family would like to thank Prairie Homes Assisted Living and their special staff members Gina, Tiffany, and Lucy for all of their wonderful care. Further thanks go to Mary from hospice, and Arlene's special friend Zola. Arlene's daughters would also like to give a special thank you to Paula, her granddaughter, for being by grandma's side for every night during the last week of her life.

She was the best mother-in-law a guy could ever expect to have, supportive, curious, a great cook and a wonderful human being.

Arlene was the kindest person I have ever met. Never had a bad word to say about anyone. The world will miss her and so will I RIP
