Debra Heiting Obituary

Debra J. Heiting

Black Creek - Debra J. Heiting, age 64, Black Creek, WI, passed away December 14th, 2020 at ThedaCare Hospital in Appleton surrounded by family. Debra was born to Helen and Harvey Jonas on March 18, 1956, in Appleton, WI. She graduated from Fall River High School in 1974. Debra was united in marriage to Lawrence (Larry) Heiting on November 1st, 1980. She started working at Pet World where she stayed for 10 years, working up to becoming store manager. During this time, she also tended bar at Heiting's Bar in Greenville. After that she got a job at Drainage Industries where she worked in customer service and dispatching for over 25 years.

Debra and Larry moved just outside of Black Creek in 1989 and built a small hobby farm where they raised Clydesdales, goats, pigs and had numerous cats and dogs. Debra loved gardening, doing crafts, watching the birds, and cooking for her family. She was an amazing cook whose home-made meals will be missed by many. Debra also loved to attend all her son's sporting events through the years. She was never afraid to embarrass him from time to time by shouting "That's my Boy!".

She had spent the last 20 months at Rennes Health and Rehab in Appleton. She recently found joy in crocheting, and in February she became a grandma which gave her so much joy.

Debra is survived by her husband, Larry, son; Chris (Jessica) Heiting and their daughter Madison, brother; Mike (Lora) Jonas, and loving in-laws; Allen (Jody) Heiting, Brian Heiting, Connie Schuh, and Corey Heiting, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Debra was preceded in death by her parents.

Due to Covid, the family will plan to have a Celebration of Life for Debra when it is safe for family and friends.

Words can not express how much you will be missed by so many. We love you very much and know you are watching over us.

I don't know if any family members will see this. I have been trying to track Deb down for a 50th class reunion. I am so sorry to find out she passed away. My condolences to her family.
