Doris M. Fietzer

Neenah - Doris M. Fietzer, age 95, of Neenah, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. She was born in Escanaba, MI on December 30, 1922, daughter of Xavier and Elsie (Gunville) Paupore. Doris and her parents moved to Kingsford, MI in 1923. She graduated from Kingsford High School with the Class of 1941. She then attended the Dundar Business School in Iron Mountain, MI. In 1944, Doris became employed at Kimberly Clark for six years. In 1949, she married Ivan Fietzer and spent 63 years together until his passing in 2013. They had two children and one grandchild: Jim and Michele (Andrews) Fietzer and thier daugher, Andrea Fietzer of Neenah, and Jane and Marty Frieders of Dale. They spent many wonderful years with family. Doris volunteered at many places. Some of those include: Theda Clark Hospital as a pink lady, ValHaven Nursing Home, the Girlscouts, Brownies and Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed skating, skiing, gardening and painting. She also enjoyed the many hours sewing quilts with the ladies from Our Saviors Church and playing games with friends.

She sadly also leaves behind her two sisters: Gladys Barthels, Kingsford, MI and Judy (Larry) La Point, Mankato, MN, and many lovely nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in death were her brothers: James and Phyll Paupore and brother-in-law, Jack Barthels.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial Street, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. For online condolences, please visit www.kesslerfh.com.
