Dorothy Weinke Obituary
Dorothy N. Weinke, age 100, of Neenah passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha. She was born on September 18, 1916 in Neenah, Wisconsin daughter of the late Arthur and Nia (Bosch) Redlin. Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Robert A. Weinke on May 20, 1939 at First Presbyterian Church in Neenah. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, and one month shy of 55 years before Robert preceded her in death in April of 1994. Dorothy was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church, Neenah; and a long-time member of the Lady Elks. In her younger years she enjoyed needlepoint. In September of this year, she loved sharing her 100th birthday party with her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Tom Weinke, Neenah; daughter-in-law, Linda Weinke, Neenah; grandchildren: Sara (Steven) Flater, Greenville; Jane (James) Plutz, Hortonville; Bree (Eric) Stief, Menasha; Douglas (Trish) Weinke, Neenah; great grandchildren: Camden Flater, Josie Plutz, Jenna Plutz, Kaylin Weinke, Hunter Weinke; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband, Robert, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son, Jim; her daughter-in-law, Carolynn; brothers: Thomas and Lester Redlin; sisters: Mildred Larson and Janette Landskron.
A private family service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park where Dorothy will be entombed beside her husband.
