My deepest sympathies to Nadine and family for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather. May your hearts be comforted by the many who loved him as you travel the weeks and months ahead.
Pastor Wilch was such a big part of my faith journey and it was because of him that I blossomed not only as a young teenager, but also as a faithful disciple of God. His exuberance in his faith and his joy in sharing it with others is a big part of why I am who I am today. My family and I came to the St. Mark's when I was a young teenager and we were welcomed by both Pastor and Nadine with open arms. I was confirmed there, taught Sunday School there and my husband I were married by Pastor Wilch at St. Mark's. Many of my best memories include Pastor, Nadine and St. Mark's.
You will be missed dearly. Rest in Peace Pastor Wilch.

Our hearts and minds are filled with the memories of having Pastor Wilch as our spiritual leader for our family for more than 25 years. We became members of St Mark’s in 1973, and felt God’s presence within this church due to the dedication and teachings of God’s word through Pastor Wilch. We were just married, and new residents to Waukesha. Taking a walk through Horeb Park one Saturday afternoon we saw the little Church on the hill called St Mark’s. We noted the service times, attended one of the two services listed, and were quickly taken in by Pastor. He met with us privately to get to know us when we indicated we wanted to become members. Since that moment in time, Pastor Wilch had walked with us through the births of 3 children, Brian, Eric, and Vanessa. He baptized and confirmed all three, and also baptized our oldest Granddaughter, Nora. He was there for all of us when I received the devistating news that at age 35, I had breast cancer. Through his leadership he fueled the love and guidance for our spiritual growth that we all responded to and thrived on and needed.
From all of our family, to Nadine and children and Grandchildren, we offer our sincere condolences to you, and pray that God will bring the comfort and peace that only He can bring to you during this time of grief and sorrow for a man that was much loved by many because of his belief and love for our Lord and Savior.
