I have wonderful memories of conversations with John about the needs of students and the challenges facing the Literacy Council. I appreciated his warmth and compassion, his strong mind, and his sense of humor.

My deepest condolences to all of John's extended family. I truely enjoyed working for John, caring for his home and needs. We shared many memorable conversations even on his last day on this earth as we joked and laughed about circumstances. He will always be very dear to my heart and sadly missed. May the Lord be your strength now and may you cling to all the wonderful memories you have with John.

Neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God's love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. While I don't personally know you, my thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.
