Joshua Smiley Obituary
Joshua L. Smiley, 28, of Clinton, WI, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, WI.
He was born April 7, 1987 in Beloit, WI, the son of Roger Smiley and Pam (Schoonover) Gerber.
Josh was employed by Hormel Foods in Beloit, WI. He was a die hard Green Bay Packer fan, loved the outdoors, camping, music, and watching movies. Josh was very big on family and was an amazing father. He liked to say "I'm just joshin'" and would always be followed by a huge smile that would light up the room. Josh was a big kid at heart that all the kids loved.
Survivors include his parents, Roger Smiley and Pam Gerber; daughter, Payshence Smiley; sister, Kristi (Chaz) Harris; brother, Jeremy (Crystal) Monroe; "baby mom", Ashleigh Beckerson; grandmothers, Sharon McCash and Arnetta Schoonover; special aunts, Zandra Schoonover, and Tammy Blocker; best friend, Sean Wilbourne; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Robert Monroe and Helen Smiley; maternal grandfather, Marvin Schoonover; uncle, Pat Farrell; aunt, Robin Walters; his great grandparents.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. Beloit, WI, with Pastor Michael Ramsdail officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
