Juan Kevin Thede, 52, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his home in Stafford, Virginia.

Juan was born on September 29, 1960, in Neenah-Menasha, the son of Cloyd and the late Barbara (Captain) Thede. He was a 1978 graduate of Menasha High School. Immediately after high school, Juan joined the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served our country for 21 years. Upon retirement from the U.S. Marine Corps, Juan worked as a Senior Program Analyst for Engility Corporation. In addition to spending time with his wife of 12 years, Erin, Juan enjoyed his bulldogs, running, riding his Harley, working in his yard, and anything connected to sports, which included his life-long devotion to the Green Bay Packers.

Survivors include his wife Erin Thede; sons John and Jarrett Thede; daughter Loryn Thede; parents Cloyd and Judy Thede; brothers Cloyd Thede, Jr. and Scott Sell; sisters Barbara Fels, Debie Wright, Cori Thede, Tammy Wittmann, Kristi Sell, and Tara Ward; several nieces and nephews, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Edward and Patricia Burke.

Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.

Juan touched everyone that he met. He had an infectious smile (most of us called it a "smirk") and a zest for life. Juan possessed the discipline and toughness of a Marine but underneath all of this, he had a warm heart that thrived on helping those around him and a sense of humor that made his family and friends laugh and smile. While the world as we know it will never be the same without Juan, his family and friends are grateful for the time we spent with him.
