Laurie Colon Obituary
Appleton - Laurie Suzann Colon (nee'Guilbault), 37, was a victim of Domestic Violence by her soon to be ex-husband of 15 years, in her home on July 13. She was born December 29, 1980 in Stevens Point, daughter to Kenneth and Nadine (Pudroski) Guilbault, Appleton.
Laurie graduated from Warwick High School, Litiiz, Pennsylvania and the Lancaster County Career and Technology School, Mount Joy, with a degree in Micro Computer Technology in 1999. She moved to Appleton in 2005 and worked at Convergys as a supervisor for many years. Laurie moved on to be the top sales team leader at eplus.com, an internet security network firm. Her job took her on many trips including the Philippines, Singapore and frequent vacations to Mexico. She recently earned the President's award which included a one week trip, she was to go on. Laurie loved to travel and see new places and especially try new foods.
In addition to her parents, Laurie is survived by her brother, Jacob Guilbault, Appleton; her niece, Donavyn; Grandmother, Mary Jane Pudroski; uncles and aunts: Steven (Linda) Pudroski, Stevens Point, Alan (Mary Jo) Pudroski, Plover, Nanci Pudroski and Jerry Samuelson, Mosinee, and Kathy Burke of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Norbert Pudroski, and Norman and Gloria Guilbault.
Memorial service for Laurie will be 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 until the 11:00 AM service. In lieu of flowers, donations will benefit a local Domestic Violence program to be determined.
Laurie will be remembered as a person with a kind heart, a love for life, a great cook, a peace maker and a deep love for her family and special friends.

I was Laurie's hair stylist. She was suppose to come in last Saturday for a cut, and color. When she didn't show I was concerned. Now I know y. This truly makes my heart sad. She was an amazing person. We talked a lot at her appts. I'm beyond words of this news. She will be greatly missed.

Laurie was a great neighbor. She definitely had a love for dogs as I often found her talking to my dog and tossing treats over the fence for her. My condolences to Lauries friends and family.
