Lucy Bemowski

Appleton - Lucy Bemowski, Appleton, WI, age 46, passed away Friday, Feb, 5, 2021 from the effects of Huntington's Disease. She was an angel to all who knew her and will be greatly missed, Due to a lifetime of sufferings, if anyone deserved to go directly to Heaven, she did.

Lucy was preceded in death by her mother, Loretta (Eslinger) Bemowski, who also died of Huntington's Disease, her brother Mark, & her Aunt Cindy (Graham).

Lucy is survived by her father, Vincent Bemowski & her step-mother, Judy (Phillips) Bemowski of Swansea, IL. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Bosma, whom she dearly loved, & husband Mike, Aunt Joyce (Seyfert), Aunt Gayle (Warnke) and husband Dick, Uncle Jim & wife Debbie (Miller) Bemowski, Sister-in-law Terri (Gill) Bemowski, wife of her brother Mark, & her Uncle Tom Graham, husband of her Aunt Cindy.

Lucy is also survived by her cousin Sue (Christopher), whom she had a great love for, & husband Mark, & nieces, Grace, & Emily & nephews, Jordan, Luke, & Joshua. She is also survived by her 3 step brothers, Steve, Tom, & Joe Hickey of Belleville, IL

Lucy greatly loved her father, Vincent, & was very devoted to him, as well as her step-mother, Judy, whom she called "mother." Her father who was unable to attend the funeral due to open heart surgery, continues to offer up his sufferings in reparation for the sins committed against the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, as well as relief for the Poor Souls in Purgatory, & invites others to do the same. Having lost his father when he was 16, and within the past 11 years lost his wife Loretta after 42 years of marriage, his sister, a step daughter, his son, and now his daughter Lucy, knows how difficult the trials of life can be, but his faith in Christ & the Roman Catholic Church, in spite of the scandals, has brought him the strength he needs to endure these sufferings. He therefore also invites others to not lose hope and trust in Jesus who never fails to help us.

The family thanks Ascension Hospice of Appleton, & especially nurse Dana, as well as the staff at Brewster Village Skilled Nursing Home for their compassion & the care they provided for Lucy. The family is also grateful for family members & friends who prayed for her & sent her cards while she was ill, especially those who had Masses said for her.

So sorry to hear about the loss of such a beautiful person. Lucy was a close friend with my daughter, Kristy at St. John's grade school. She was always a joy to have at the house. Lucy, Kristy and Jason Derfus were close friends for several years. May God hold her close to his heart.

I remember Lucy well as a fellow classmate at St John’s. She was always so kind. This is the most beautiful testimony of life and faith I have ever read. I am inspired by Lucy’s father and he is in my prayers as is Lucy.
