Michael Leistikow Obituary
Michael L. Leistikow, 38, of La Crosse, WI and formerly of Appleton, WI, passed away July 31, 2013. Michael was born on March 14, 1975, in Klamath Falls, OR. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his only child, Yasmynn Rain (who he loved more than anything) of Onalaska, WI and her mother, Michelle Jerome; his parents, Warren and Mary (Seavey) Leistikow of Medford, WI; his brother, Gregory Leistikow of Medford, WI; his wife, Laura St. Georges of Appleton, WI; and hundreds of friends.
He was preceded in death by his uncles, Robert Lee Seavey and Keith Leistikow; his grandparents, Cecil and Edna Seavey; and Warren Sr. and Beverly Leistikow.
Michael had several nicknames including "Big Dog", "Spikel", "Rabbit", and most commonly, "Mikey". He considered his friends as his family and would do anything for anyone with no expectation of anything in return. He was known for his fun sense of humor, clever wit, sensational storytelling, and amazing, mischievous smile. Michael was outgoing and adventurous his whole life. He had diverse skills and worked hard wherever he was at. He was a chef, construction tradesman, mechanic, and licensed barber and graduate of The Salon Professional Academy in Appleton, WI.
Friends and family are invited to remember Michael and celebrate his life on Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 10 until the time of services. Memorial services will be held at Noon at Blaschke & Schneider Funeral Homes, 1501 West Ave., La Crosse, WI.
