Patrick Landers Obituary

Patrick James Landers

Kaukauna - Patrick James Landers, 68, passed away on July 1, 2019, surrounded by his family, after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. Pat was born September 19, 1950, in Appleton, WI to the late James and Shirley (Prink) Landers. He graduated from Appleton West High School in 1969. He then married Donna Jonen on September 6th, 1969. They went on to have 5 children.

Over the years he worked at Zwickers, Carstens Elevator, Rex Cleaning and Jack's Maintenance.

Pat enjoyed playing softball, coaching Little League, being the "all time quarterback" for the neighborhood kids, camping and his many Trans Ams. Practical for a man with 4 kids. He loved collecting coins, model cars and music. Oh, the record collection we have! He also enjoyed watching football, baseball, racing and spending time with family and friends at local taverns, always signing in and doing the shake of the day. We will miss going schnucks with you.

Pat is survived by his children: Heather Landers (Todd Schimmers), Jason (Dana) Landers, Sheila (Michael) Becker, Jeff (Christy) Landers; grandchildren: Keegan Knudsen, Brennan Gilson, Michael Becker, Dustin and Kayla Landers.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents James and Shirley Landers; his brother Gary Landers and his daughter Mary Ann Landers.

Special thanks to his friends, Cheryl, Elmer, John, Jim, Bobbi, Steve, Donna, Bill and many others for all your visits until the end. He greatly appreciated them. Also to the staff at Atrium and Theda Hospice-thank you for your tender loving care of our father.

Dad, until we meet again, no fighting with your brother. Give Grandma the biggest hug and to all of you, NO cheating at rummy! Eat hot dogs, bacon and chocolate. Have a beer and tell Elvis "hi". Now that you're all better show him your awesome dance moves. As hard as this is to say, like Grandma always said, toot-a-loo for now. Love, your children.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and friends.

Pat was a fantastic uncle to me! Fun loving and an amazing sense of humor made him a great buddy who took me under his wing when I was new to the family as a teenager. I will always cherish the memories of our shenanigans together.

My sincere condolences to Pat's family. He always had a kind word and that word of wisdom for me when I'd see him. And of course when I needed the title of an old tune or the singer, he was there with it. He will always be missed but so kindly remembered.
