Robert Suess Obituary

Robert "Rob" Michael Suess, age 43, of Brillion, passed away at his home as a result of a heart attack on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

Rob was born on April 17, 1971 in Manitowoc, son of Jean Suess and Gary (Nancy) Suess. On July 12, 1997, he married his soul mate Karen Clark at Calumet County Park. He was a graduate of Bay Shore High School in New York, class of 1989. He went on to complete his Associates Degree at Fox Valley Technical College. Rob most recently worked at Northern Labs as the Maintenance Manager, but he previously worked at Worthington Industries in Chilton and the Brillion Iron Works. His kids were his world and he would do anything for them. He loved spending time with his family, trips to Jamaica and Missouri, camping, cooking, hunting, fishing, bowling, throwing darts and milk bottles. Rob was very social and always the life of the party. He was always willing to stay up to visit and the last one to go home. He was always willing to talk to anyone and always had a story to tell. He showed his love with lots of teasing. Rob was a very hard worker, whether it was at his day job or at home.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Karen; their boys: Tyler, 15 and Derek, 14; his parents: Jean Suess of Bay Shore, NY and Gary "Doc" (Nancy) Suess of Brillion; his siblings: Rick (Holly) Suess of Loveland, CO and Shelly (Terry) Lau of Brillion; in-laws: David (Kathy) Clark of Westby, Scott (Stephani) Clark of Combined Locks, and Tom (Kimberly) Pokrandt of Rochester, MN. The best uncle to: Jenna Rae, Paige, Jenna Marie, Avery, Max, Kyle, Ryan, Hayden, Lilly, Lauren, Andrew and Ava; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ron (Joyce) Clark of Westby; his grandmother: Josie Theyerl of Francis Creek; grandmother-in-law: Ann Pierce of Westby; his cats: PD and Ace; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Leo and Julia Suess and maternal grandfather: Vernon Theyerl.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Rob packed a lot of living into the short time he was here - great family vacations to exotic tropical islands, ski trips, hunting and fishing trips (including Canada this summer), motorcycle rides, - I could go on and on. Karen, Tyler, and Derek - I hope you can remember the great times you had together and that the sadness you feel today will eventually be replaced by the memories of happier times. We love you and you have been in our thoughts constantly since we heard the news.

Dear Childhood friend Karen - We just connected online, and I had enjoyed seeing all of your great family photos - and now so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband - sending sincere sympathy to you and your family from your Cty Trk P, Westby friend. It is clear from all the messages and photos your husband was a wonderful man and your perfect match.

Larry and I are deeply saddened by the news we just heard on Robs passing. To be taken at such a young age. Our hearts are breaking for your loss and can't even come up with any words for the amount of sympathy we have for his entire family. We will hold all of you in our hearts and prayers!
