Shane Rogers Obituary

Shane V. Rogers

Neenah - Shane Vincent Rogers, 52, Neenah died peacefully at home, Friday, January 22, 2021, with his family by his side.

Shane was born in Neenah on January 20, 1969, a son of James and Gloria (Nettekoven) Rogers. He attended local schools, and was a graduate of Neenah High School. Shane was self employed for most of life and worked as a mechanic, contactor and all-around handyman. He loved fixing and creating. When asked by those who loved him to describe what Shane loved, that was easy! He loved shooting pool, turning wrench and rocking out! He will be sadly missed.

Shane leaves his parents: James and Gloria Rogers, his grandma, Laverna Nettekoven, his love and companion, Jill Goergen and her daughter Alli, to whom he was an awesome "step-dad", his sister Charlene Rogers and his brother Ben Rogers. Shane also maintained special relationships with aunts and uncles on both sides of his family. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Shane will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 5 to 8 PM at KESSLER FUNERAL HOME, (304 S. Commercial Street, Neenah). No formal funeral service is planned. Final rest will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.

The family wishes to thank the teams of Theda Clark Cancer Center, Radiology of Appleton and ThedaCare Home Hospice for all they have done for Shane. Special thanks also to Dr. Anderson, Shane's surgeon for his kind and compassionate care.

Shane was a great friend and a joy to be around. He could always cheer me up when I was feeling down, and always could be counted on when I needed some mechanical help. A great teacher, as well. And at a time of my life when I was considering doing things that may have led me down a dark path, he gave great advice that I heeded and lived a better life for it. Thank you my good friend, I will see you again someday. God be with you!

Sorry to hear of your loss. I know he was battling his brain tumor for awhile. I knew him through david and tony. I will forever remember him. He was funny and witty all at same time. He is at peace now. He fought a good battle. REST IN PEACE. Jenny lingnofski
