And I think it's very important to thank Kitty and Steve Syverson for their loving care during the last 2 months of his life. They lived with Karen and Dave and helped with every aspect of Dave's care, from washing linens, cooking and cleaning, to massages, spiritual reading, and entertainment. They helped day and night to administer Dave's feedings and medications too. We were so lucky to have their support and that of our community during this difficult time in our lives.

I am going to miss Dave so much. He was like a brother to me. Dave and Karen would come to Minneapolis a few times a year to visit. Karen and my Mom would usually be out shopping or planning some kind of event which gave Dave and I a lot of time to hang out. We had some great conversations. I'm really going to miss those times. He sure had the ability to brighten up a room. Sending my best wishes to everyone whose life he touched.

Dave was a wonderful man whom also had a huge family in Fergus Falls with the love of his life, Karen Peters as well as the extended family in theTwin Cities. Karen's sister and brother in law dropped everything to stay in Fergus Falls to do anything & everything for Dave & Karen they could ever need, so they could spend every moment together, just as they should.
Dave had 3 step children and 7 grandchildren whom loved and adored Dave so much, as well as he did them. The whole Rial (Karen) family took annual week long trips up north to take over a resort with their huge group of family. Those times were so important to him. He was very much surrounded in love by his loving wife and family of 22 years.
I thought it would be nice to mention that the last 22 years of his life was also extremely beautiful.
We will sure miss you Dave!
