Our community has lost an honored citizen, a person who demonstrated the courage of his convictions, a family man, and a model for many young people who knew him. My sincere condolences to Gale and all the family. We are all better people because of his work and tireless dedication.

We were saddened to hear of DeVon's passing! He and Sister Woodland served valiantly with us in Cambodia during the early days of the Church. He was exactly the type of spirit needed during the early days of the Church and excelled in every way. We are sure that he continues to serve on the other side and will be responsible for the saving of many souls! He was a joy and friend while serving in Cambodia and showed love wherever and when asked to serve. We ask the Lord's blessing on Sister Woodland and the rest of the family. love, President and Sister Colton

I worked as NFO Dairy Department assistant director from 1974-1978. I had the privilege of knowing Devon and admired his leadership. On an occassion or two I was asked to speak at an NFO meeting he was scheduled to speak and could not due to other commitments. I was honored. I also spoke with him a time or two by phone in recent years. He was always kind and generous. Our condolences to the Woodland family. John and Terry Bobbe, Scandinavia, WI.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of DeVon. I had the privilege of working with him at the NFO in Corning during his time as President of the organization. He was a dedicated leader and a wonderful man, you were blessed to have him in your life. I am deeply sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Love and Prayers go to the family. What a great man. He always took time to see how you were doing. Great Leader and example. Loved to hear him speak at church. Always had wisdom and love to pass on. He will be missed. Glad that he and family are a part of our lives,

There are too many things too even begin to say. He was my bishop, he was the father of all the kids I baby sat, he was my neighbor who was always teasing me when I begin to date. He also gave me advice that helped me along the way that I still remember. But the memories I have almost always included his wife Dean. Words just aren’t adequate enough. I love them and their family and wish them peace. Mavis H Willey

Saddens me to see my life long friend and mentor pass to the other side. He was always an inspiration to me and I will miss seeing him on my visits to Blackfoot. He was my friend, neighbor, teacher and I will miss him until we meet again. Loving sympathy to Dean and your children.

Dear Woodland family,
We want you to know we are thinking of you all. I have many memories of your dad. Scares on Halloween, magic tricks, and talking about his kids. What wonderful neighborhood memories.
Love and prayers,
Debra and Jim
