Dirk Victor Lee, 50, of Rigby, died Nov. 18, 2009, at his home from heart failure.
Dirk was born Feb. 11, 1959, at Idaho Falls to Victor Lee and Martha Lou Grover Lee. He grew up in Milo, graduating from Bonneville High School. He then attended Idaho Vocational Technical College in Idaho Falls to become an auto mechanic. He worked at Taylor Chevrolet in Rexburg for 26 years.
He married Shauna Rock in Ririe, Idaho, in 1978. They later divorced. He then married Tammy Curtis, June 29, 1984, in Rigby, Idaho. They later divorced. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed motorcycles, four-wheeling, camping, outdoors, rebuilding and restoring cars and trucks and spending time with his grandchildren, especially Ashton, his best buddy.
He is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Marie (Bob) Stedtfeld of Michigan and Whitney Blythe (Austin) Lee of Salt Lake City, Utah; stepchildren, Christa Taylor (Josh Flitton) Ioannides and Corey Taylor, both of Idaho Falls; his mother, Martha Lee of Milo; siblings, Peggy (Douglas) Mallard of Idaho Falls, Vickie (Kelly) Howell of Milo and Brett (Cheryl) Lee of Menan; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Lee.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Milo Cemetery. I want to let you know that he was a good man. He joked around with me like a brother and he gave me good life lessons like a father. I loved him so much and I will miss him dearly. He always would help me here a Taylors. I started here 2 years ago and it was hard to talk to him at first but before he died we talked about everything. He always would talk about his grandkids, and I know he loved them...
