Donald Dee Streett, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away Nov. 29, 2016, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Don was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Worland, Wyo., to Donald D. Streett and Mary Robertson Streett.
He grew up and attended schools in Worland. During high school, he attended Boy's State and received his Eagle Scout award. Following graduation from high school, he attended the University of Wyoming, where he received a bachelor's degree in engineering.
On Sept. 9, 1955, he married Patricia Lawrence Streett in Worland. Don and Pat made their home in Idaho Falls, where Don worked for 30 years at Westinghouse Navel Reactors Facility and finished his career as operations manager at E.C.F.
Don was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for 50 years. He was very athletic and enjoyed coaching many sports. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Don was also an avid woodworker and amateur carpenter. His greatest accomplishment was his family, of which he was very proud.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Streett of Idaho Falls; sons, Rick Streett of Boise, Idaho, and Kevin (Dawn) Streett of Port Townsend, Washington; daughter, Lori (Brad) Zundel of Billings, Montana; sister, Roberta Streett Schafer of Hemet, California; seven grandchildren, Don, Brent, Jake, Dave, Courtney, Jenni and Mark; and four great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Carol Sue Streett.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 1730 St. Clair Road in Idaho Falls. Burial will be at a later date.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Idaho Falls Soup Kitchen (301 S. Boulevard, Idaho Falls, ID 83401) or Hospice of Eastern Idaho (1810 Moran, Idaho Falls, ID 83401). Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.wood funeralhome.com.

I was so so sorry to hear of your loss. Don was always there doing something useful, often in the garage with Jade, the beloved black lab. He will be sorely missed.
