Frances Haderlie Obituary

Frances Mae Haderlie, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 26, 2025, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Eden Home Health.

Fran was born July 12, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Adelbert Rex Hendricks and Frances Mae Parks Hendricks. The family moved to California for a short time and she attended grade school in Huntington Park. They moved back to Idaho Falls where she attended Hawthorne, Osgood, Ucon, Emerson, and O.E. Bell Jr. High. She attended high school in California and Idaho Falls, graduating with the Class of 1955. She attained college credits from the American Charger School.

Fran met the love of her life, Verl W. Haderlie, in 1958. They were married on June 6, 1960, where they combined their four children from previous marriages. Their marriage was later solemnized, and their children sealed to them, in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 17, 1965.

Fran was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. Some of which were, Stake and Ward Relief Society, Young Woman, girls camp, Scouts, Sunday School teacher, Ward historian, and Ward activities.

Fran was talented in every way, she could accomplish anything she put her mind to. These talents have helped her willingly serve those around her. She loved to entertain and threw the best parties for any occasion. She was an accomplished seamstress, professional cake decorator and chocolatier. She enjoyed doll making, family history, scrapbooking, gardening, and canning. Later in life, she picked up oil painting. Those paintings adorned her home as well as many family and friends that were close to her.

In 1993, they purchased a ranch in Bone, where they greatly enjoyed time together. She was an amazing cook and loved to feed the farm hands when she wasn't helping herself. She was her husband's right hand man in his farming and cattle operation. Even bucking hay on a trailer despite being only 5 foot 2. This summer their farm was recognized as an Idaho Century Farm. If she found a spare minute in her busy life, she could be found reading, or her favorite, playing pinochle with her family. Fran was positive and happy she found the greatest joy in serving her family and others.

Fran is survived by her husband, Verl Haderlie of Idaho Falls; daughter, Lori (Kevin) Gray of Blackfoot, ID; son, Danial (Debra, deceased) Craig of Reno, NV; son, Robert (Kathy) Haderlie of Sun City, AZ; daughter, Cynthia Haderlie of Dickinson, ND; daughter, Danette Haderlie of Nampa, ID; son, Timothy (Susan) Haderlie of Idaho Falls; sister, Debi (Rusty) Landon of Idaho Falls; 21 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Armand Rex Hendricks and Williard "Billy" Lee Clark Jr.; and 3 great grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025, at the Iona Stake Center, 7555 North 55th East. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Both visitations will be at the church. Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.
