Gary Nielsen Obituary

On March 4th,2024 Gary E. Nielsen,59, passed away of a heart attack, in his home in Oregon. He was born July 15th,1964 in Roosevelt, Utah to Clarinda L. Burris and Lloyd E. Nielsen. He is survived by his soulmate, Linda Nielsen, his children; Timothy(Robin)Nielsen, Richard(April)Nielsen, Sara(Austin)Cadd, his brother and sisters, 16 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.

Gary graduated from Ririe High School in 1982. He then joined the army where he spent a year overseas before being honorably discharged in 1985. Returning home he was able to spend valuable time with his family and friends who he loved dearly. He had a love for fishing and sports. Spending many days by the water with his best friend. He will forever and always be loved and missed. He is proceeded in death by his parents, his daughter Samantha Nielsen, and friend Kenneth Kramer.

For service information please contact the family. Burial will be held on April 22nd 2024 @2pm at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park 17111 s 1700 w Bluffdale, Utah 84065.

Linda is a sister to my neighbor. I was lucky enough to be out side when.i seen Linda and Gary walking down my street i happen to look up and I thought to my self man that dude looks familiar I had not seen gary for a long time and all of a sudden I thought gosh thats my cousin gary I was thinking the other day how greatful I feel to have had an opportunity yo talk with him a few time.he will be missed by family and I will remember always the smile on his face when I said gary I almost didn't recognize you.love you gary rest in peace.marlene ogan
