James Berrett Wells, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in the Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford, Ore., from complications of a heart attack.
Jim was born April 5, 1944, to Dorothy Mabel Berrett Wells and Marden E. Wells in Idaho Falls. He was raised and attended school in Roberts, Idaho. He graduated with a degree in business economics from Idaho State University in Pocatello.
Jim made his career in sales, owning two successful businesses, one in Pocatello, where he lived for many years, and one in Salt Lake City. Upon retiring several years ago, he spent his time between Mexico, Pocatello and Idaho Falls. He had recently traveled to Brookings, Ore., where he planned to spend the winter.
Jim married Janet Harada, with whom he had two sons, Sean and Josh. They were later divorced. He married Jacqueline Gertonson, with whom he had two sons, Sebastian and Gabriel. They were later divorced. He married Juana Espejo and with whom he shared a daughter, Bianca.
Jim is survived by his four sons, Sean, Josh, Sebastian and Gabe; stepdaughter, Bianca Wells; his brothers, Charles (Marie), Wayne (Norma), Stephen (Jane), John, Phillip (Bonnie), and David Wells; and his sisters, Susan (Wayne) Allen, Sally (Loren) Lounsbury and Ruth (DeLance) Blackburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Patrick Wells.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Roberts LDS Church in Roberts, Idaho. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Rogue Valley Medical Center Cardiac Intensive Care Unit who attended to Jim the last three weeks of his life.

sean and josh I was sad to hear about your dad he was always kind to me. and I remember him letting me and sean take a new toyota truck out .letting me drive it because sean didn't have night time license.only I will know what that ment to a poor kid that no one trusted. sorry for loss

throughout several different dealerships in salt lake city, i had the pleasure of knowing and working wih Jim. the stories of his youth he used to share still bring a smile when i look back to those days. it's hard to believe he passed away so soon, he will be missed greatly.
