She was raised in Romita, and on Aug. 29, 1957, she married Manuel Caudillo in Romita. They moved to Shelley in March 1978 and then moved to Rigby in 1982.

She worked at King B Jerky for 10 years. She was a member of the Catholic Church, attending Holy Rosary and Christ the King in Idaho Falls.

She enjoyed working, sewing and being around people. She was insistent on teaching her family good values. She was very generous and thoughtful to others and loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Manuel Caudillo of Rigby; a daughter, Manuela (Vance) McVey of Iona; three sons, J. Jesus (Flor) Caudillo, Javier (Rosa) Caudillo and Gustavo Caudillo, all of Rigby; sisters, Esperanza Marmolejo and Guadalupe Marmolejo, both of Mexico; a brother, Natalio (Asencion) Chavez of Los Angeles; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loreto Chavez Marmolejo and Atilano Marmolejo; and three sisters, Pabla Chavez, Maria Chavez and Socorro Marmolejo Caudillo.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
