Juan Cabello Obituary

Juan Cabello Sr. passed away peacefully Sept. 10, 2008, at Good Samaritan of Idaho Falls.

He was born Nov. 5, 1934.

His parents were Genaro and Cristina Cabello of Marion, Texas. He and his 11 brothers and sisters grew up in New Braunfels, Texas, and went to school there as well.

He enlisted in United States Army and then later married Dominga Gonzalez in 1954. Although they divorced in 1972, they had eight children together. His hobbies were traveling, fishing and spending time with his family. He was also very gifted in woodworking and loved to make doll houses and things of that sort. He moved to Idaho Falls almost 15 years ago to spend more time with his family.

He is survived by two sisters, Eulogia Vela and Sostenes Veliz of Texas; his children, MaryAnn (Refugio) Hernandez, Juan Jr. (Janet) Cabello, Lora (Martin) Cabello and Robert (Maria) Cabello, all of Idaho. He had 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, three sons and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Sept. 13, at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W. Oak St. in Shelley. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. Saturday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
