Larry Harris Obituary

Larry Martin Harris 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Larry was born July 30, 1941, in Lewisville Idaho, the fourth child of six of Alfred Homer Harris and Idola Empey Harris. He was raised and attended school in Lewisville, graduating from Rigby High School and earning an accounting degree from Idaho State University. While attending ISU, Larry met his Eternal Sweetheart, Sandra Elaine Anderson, and they were married on July 3, 1969, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Larry and Sandie raised 8 children to adulthood but sadly lost an infant daughter, Jill Marie. Together Sandie and Larry taught their children how to work hard & serve others. Lovingly, Sandie stood at Larry's side, hand in hand, through many rough and wonderful times until her passing.

As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Larry faithfully served in many callings and loved doing family history work and attending the temple.

He loved rocks, fishing, and spending time with family and friends, combining the three as often as possible.

After Sandie died in 2016, Larry did his best to maintain relationships with family and friends, doing large amounts of family history, and attending the temple as often as possible. In 2018, Larry met Candice Jane Stauffer. They married in 2019 bringing joy and happiness to his life and the life of his family. They were dear friends and sweethearts, making their lives and their families's lives better. We are so grateful for Grandma Candy and her loving service to our Dad!

Larry is survived by his wife, Candice Stauffer of Idaho Falls ID; children; Camille Harris of Idaho Falls, Sherwin (LaurieLyn) Harris of Springville UT; Kimberly Andrus (Lambert) of Caliente, NV; Stephanie (DeeJay) Wood of Rexburg ID; Curtis (Colleen) Harris of Palo Verde AZ; Heidi (Justin) Dahlke of Idaho Falls ID; Devin Harris of Idaho Falls, ID; Larin Harris of Sanford FL; Pat (Tonya) Stauffer of Eatonville WA; Carrie (Brent) Wright of Buckeye AZ; 45 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; his brother Alfred Deon Harris of Sandy UT; Revar Harris of Idaho Falls ID; Galen (Barbara) Harris of Idaho Falls ID; Terry (Diane) Griffin of Bay City OR; Chris (Beverly) Griffin Ideville OR; Becky (Bill) Farr of Rickreall OR.

The world is going to miss this great man. I don't ever recall visiting with Larry when he wasn't smiling or laughing. What a great heart and a good earthly life he had and I am sure he will be smiling and laughing in the hereafter. Good Journey, Larry.
