Marilyn Blacker Obituary

Marilyn Kaye Schuldt Blacker, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 26, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Marilyn was reunited with her baby girl, Tammy, on November 26, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was born on April 2, 1943, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Harry Schuldt Sr. and Flora Marker Schuldt. She was one of four children born to Harry and Flora and their only daughter. With three brothers, she grew up heavily immersed in outdoor activities.

Marilyn married Jerry Harris on August 2, 1960. After the loss of their baby girl, Tammy, they had three other children. She, Jerry, and the kids spent much of their time in the mountains. She loved being in nature, camping, fishing, and hunting. If it was outdoors, she would be there. In 1986, she married the love of her life, Ron Blacker. Together, they enjoyed antique shopping and playing bingo at Fort Hall. Marilyn loved all animals, especially her three dogs, Kita, Ricky, and Duchess. She always kept food out for the neighborhood cats and adopted several of them over the years. She kept her bird feeders full for the birds and squirrels. Her backyard was a safe haven for any and all animals. Marilyn LOVED her grandkids and great-grandkids and thought of them often.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Ron Blacker; children, Teri (Lynn) Hulse of Logan, Utah; Gary (LaRae) Harris of Los Ojos, New Mexico; and Greg Harris, unknown location; ten grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Flora Schuldt, her daughter, Tammy, and her brothers, Harry Jr. (Marva), Richard (Sybil), and Jerry.

A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9,2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho 83406.
