Rebecca Berg Obituary

Rebecca "Becky" Allene Berg, age 52, a resident of Victor, Idaho, passed away in Rexburg, Idaho, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.

Becky was born Nov. 28, 1956, in Odessa, Texas, to Miles and Marie Arnett. She was the fifth of seven children. She graduated from high school in Garden Grove, Calif., and shortly after married Mike Berg. Together they had two children, April Marie and Roy Justin Berg. In 1983, Becky and her family moved to Bullhead City, Ariz. Becky lived in Bullhead with her family until she and Mike divorced in 2001, and she moved to Idaho. She loved Idaho and enjoyed the scenery and was fascinated by all the wildlife. Her favorite thing was to ride around the hills of Idaho looking at deer, elk and moose, and was once fortunate to see a bear and her cub.

Becky loved laughter and practical jokes. Laughter came easily and naturally to her. She never met a stranger and everyone who knew her was a friend. Her grandchildren, Bodi and David, were the love of her life. Becky was loved and admired by all. Becky was employed at the department of motor vehicles in Driggs.

Becky is survived by her two children, April Berg of Idaho Falls and Roy Justin Berg of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Ron (Karin) Caswell of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Sue (Dave) Furniss of Spencer, Idaho; two grandchildren; and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Dubois Community Baptist Church, with Pastor Warren Cuppy officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. Floral arrangements should be delivered to Flamm Funeral Home.

April and Justin...
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. She was always a beautiful woman, inside and out, and I will never forget her laughter and her smile...no matter how many years have gone by since I had seen her last. I am so sorry.

June 24, 2009

I LOVE YOU MOM.....So many morning's I reach for my phone to call you only to realize again that I cant. Every night Bodi brings his spongebob pillow to bed and says "good night grandma I love you".
I wish you knew how many people were there for you, how many people love you. Although everyone here hurts that your gone, I know that YOU are happy now, and that's what helps me to get through the days.
I MISS YOU MOM

To me you will always be the river in Bullhead City, the gourmet recipe for spaghetti salad, the 12 pack of coke in the fridge, the peanut m&m's and the mornings consisting of coffee in one hand and cell phone in the other. You will always be the uncontrollable laughter and endless practical jokes, the episodes of Dog the Bounty Hunter, learning how to work the DVR, the kiwi hair magic & paul mitchell freeze 'n shine, and the only woman I know (besides my mom of course) who has more clothes than I do, w/a pair of shoes for every outfit. To me you will always be the only voice in my lifetime that I could never distinguish from my own mothers. To me you are the never ending road trip, the woman with too many slippers, the one who taught me how to keep my bathing suit from fading and & the turkey and swiss queen. You are the microwaveable neck warmer, the card the never fails to make it for my birthday, and the quick witted sense of humor that is responsible for the family's many inside jokes. You will always be the gift giver, the secret nintendo player and the reason for that one more box of Christmas decorations. Thank you for keeping my secrets just long enough before telling my mom. Thank you for being my lifesaver when I could barely keep my head above water. Thank you for every laugh and every tear...thank you for being my aunt and my friend. I hope you never have to be lonely again. PS say hi to Kevin for us.

She was my best friend, we talked everyday at least once a day, sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. Her celebration of life, on May 29, 2009 was beautiful, as she was. The flowers that were sent in her honor were abundant, she loved flowers. There is a small cemetery, in Spencer, Id where my house is. From the deck of my home, where she and I would sit, talk, cry and laugh, oh sooo much laughter, you can see the place in the Spencer, ID cemetery, we chose to visit her in our future. All are welcome. I love you Sister and I miss you. Sister.

I will never forget when you made me and my sister sing Christmas Carol's at your house. Those good days are gone but they will never be forgotten. May you shine in the sky like you shined in others hearts. All my love and sympathy to those who will miss her.

I will always remember the fun times we had growing up. The memories we made when visiting in Monahans, Garden Grove or Bullhead City. And especially the family reunions where we would all stay up laughing and remembering the good days. I never think of Becky without a smile. She will surely be missed.

I met Becky in March 2004 at Sam's Club where we worked as cashier's. I remember she came up to me with a huge smile and introduced herself. We became great friends and spent alot of time together. In November 2004 she moved to Idaho and later I moved to Las Vegas. There wasn't a day that went by that we weren't on the phone catching up on the latest news. On May 07,2009 Becky, her daughter April and grandson Bodi were in Las Vegas and spent the night at my home. It was so nice to see her again. She had also visited her grandson David in Henderson, Nevada earlier that day and was so happy to have had the chance to visit with him. Becky called me on May 19,2009, and we talked for about an hour. The next day she was gone. I am going to miss her so much. To Justin, April and her family, I am truly sorry for your loss. For Katherine, thank you for being there for Becky. I will never forget you Becky, I hope you are at Peace.

Why Becky, why ???????? I guess the saying fits now. It has been a long time joke as kids growing up together between you, Moe and me. Your sense of humor, laughter, friendship and the way you eat toast will be greatly missed !!! We love you Becky, may the good Lord bestow upon your heart and soul, "PEACE"
