Born to Devan Paul and Cheyenne Rae Beck on June 28, 2012, at 10:24 p.m., a beautiful 7-pound, 13-ounce baby boy was brought into this world and given the name Taitem Devan Beck.
On Nov. 2, 2012, God decided he was too perfect and took him home. Our little angel has become just that.
Taitem was born at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, also where Mommy and Daddy entered this world. Delivered by Mommy's hero, Dr. Bruce Barton of Madison Women's Clinic, Taitem was born a miracle: He struggled to get here, but after an emergency Cesarean, our healthy, big blue-eyed love arrived.
Our little angel loved to watch "Tom and Jerry" and got so excited when they would chase each other that he would let out an adorable squeal. He also loved to hear mommy and daddy sing to him and always greeted us with a beautiful toothless grin.
He has no brothers or sisters, but we know he will be handing them down to us when it is their turn.
Looking down from above, the baby we once protected will now watch over and protect us.
He is now watching over his daddy, Devan Paul; and his mommy, Cheyenne Rae Beck of Idaho Falls; grandparents, Chad and Christy Goody of Sugar City, Idaho, and Paul and Jennifer Beck of Rigby; uncles, Cody and Cole Goody of Sugar City, Reed Miller of Teton, Idaho, and Darin, Connor, Wyatt and Weston Beck of Rigby; aunties, Courtney Miller of Rexburg and Nichole Beck of Rigby; cousins, Parker and Payton Miller; great-grandparents, Marilynn Wright of Driggs, Idaho, Arthur and ElRae Goody of Ammon, Dallas and Jerrolyn Beck of St. George, Utah, and Brent and June Call of Grant, Idaho.
He is lovingly greeted with open arms by great-grandpa Wayne Wright, formerly of Driggs.
If love could have saved our baby boy, he would have lived forever. We only had him for a blink of eternity, but we know eternity is a very long time to hold him again. Taitem Devan, we love you so much, how wonderful life is now that we have held you in our arms. We love you, Daddy and Mommy.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the Rigby 1st Ward Chapel, 401 W. First South in Rigby. Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. in Blackfoot, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
Condolences may be sent to the family at condol ences@hawkerfuneral home.com.

HI Devan and Cheyanne. Cheyanne, we've only met a coulple of times and it was a very long time ago! I know and love your mom from Dr. Bartons office, and mandy is my very dear friend. I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful boy, my heart and prayers go out for you two, and all of your loved ones! I know it may be hard to see Gods plan in all of this right now, but if you could just see how important you guys were in helping Gods plan. Taitem, was promised a body, and you two helped him fulfill his work here on earth, and yes he was to perfect to stay here! Our Angels on the other side are truly the ones who love us, and know us. Believe me I know, I have lost two brothers, and I have felt them many times in my life, and I'm truly thankful for that. His mission here in life was to great to do here on earth...and I truly feel that you guys are his mission, his family here on earth, and the ones that will still be prevlidged to join your family. I hope you can turn and rely on the Lord in this time in your life, even if your confused and mad at him at this moment. Just remember HE'S God and he can take it, He loves you guys and feels your pain and wants you to turn to each other and to him! Again your in my thoughts and prayers!

Devan and Cheyanne,
I don't know either of you personally, but I feel compelled to send a piece of my heart to your family as you go down such a fateful road.
I happened to be dropping off one of my boys at Rachel's just before the officers and paramedics arrived on the scene. I will never forget that day or your sweet little boy.
My heart was hopeful and broken for you both in those few seconds.
I am unsure why I was supposed to be a witness to Taitem's struggle.
I suppose I wanted you both to know these things and that your son will always be in my heart. The gifts of a child are immeasurable as is the grief at the loss of them.
With Great Sorrow,
Amy Ziegler
