Taylor Morgan Barnett, 21, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at her home.
Taylor was born Nov. 6, 1992, in Idaho Falls to Braxton Vance Barnett and Brenda Kaye Purser Barnett. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Lincoln High School. She was active in Rocky Mountain Pantherettes at Rocky Mountain Middle School and Bonneville HoneyBees while attending Bonneville High School. She also attended Idaho State University.
Taylor worked at Development Workshop and was honored with numerous Achievement Awards for her work with those with special needs.
Taylor enjoyed hunting, fishing, swimming, camping and dancing.
Taylor is survived by her father, Braxton Barnett of Idaho Falls, (Bonnie Currey of Washington, Utah); mother, Brenda Kaye (Jon Tullis) Barnett of Idaho Falls; brother, Justin (Anna) McCowin of Idaho Falls; sisters, Shannon (Danny Jensen) McCowin of Idaho Falls, Brittnee (Josh) Wheeler of Idaho Falls and Tausha Barnett of Ririe; grandfather, Donald Purser of Rigby; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Janet Purser; paternal grandparents, Vance and Lila Barnett; an aunt, Silvia (Bill) Aland; and an uncle, Joel Brown.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Taylor Barnett's name to the special heroes at Development Workshop, 555 W. 25th St., Idaho Falls, ID 83402, or online at www.dwinc.org.
