Ann Vannier, 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her home with family and friends by her side, to be with her late husband who died in 2009 after 54 years of marriage.

Born December 2, 1933 in Lake George, she was the daughter of Clayton and Doris Bly.

She felt blessed to grow up in Lake George when it was beautiful and untouched. As a child she would walk up Prospect Mountain to spend time at the Bly Cottage with her oldest sister and father.

Ann graduated in 1952 from Lake George High School where she was a cheerleader for the Warriors and a member of many clubs.

She was employed by the First National Bank of Lake George in 1966, with a break in service while she accompanied her husband and lifelong friends Armond and Trudy to Florida. While in Florida, she was employed by Joan Cook and Company. Upon moving to Connecticut, where she was employed at the Greenwich YMCA, before returning to the Evergreen Bank in Lake George, retiring in 1996.

John and Ann were longtime members of the Church of the Holy Cross, where she served on the vestry and other offices and she served as treasurer for the Lake George Community Garden Club

John and Ann took two land trips to Europe and two river trips to Europe with friends. They also took yearly trips to Maine and Prince Edward Island. They also loved watching their grandchildren and great grandchildren in the many sports they played.

In addition to her parents and husband John, Ann is predeceased by her two sisters Lena Hill and Barbara Wescott.

Survivors include a son Zachary Rene and wife Patricia, a daughter Zoe Ann Vannier, grandchildren Sophie Chant and husband Jason, Zachary Ryan Vannier and fiancé Kim Fanciullo, Cody Vannier and Ashley Vannier and wife Lindsey all of Queensbury. Ann is also survived by great grandchildren Austin Kingsley and wife Katelynn, Chloe Kapsa, Jason and George Chant and Juliana Vannier and several nieces and nephews.

John and I were very grateful for the close friends we made along the way, most importantly Trudy and Armond, Linda and Paul, Gideon and Elaine (Cahen).
