BALLSTON LAKE - Brenda A. McMahon, age 56, died at her home on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Brenda was born on November 6, 1969, in Hampton, VA and was the daughter of the late Leo Kushi, Sr. and Audrey (Shutts) Kushi.
Brenda attended Newcomb Central Schools and following her graduation, she joined the workforce. Brenda had a long and fulfilling career working as a caretaker in group homes across the state.
Brenda is survived by her long-term forever friends, Michael Bonesteel of Ballston Lake, N.Y. and Janette Biehler of Rochester, N.Y.; her son, Brandon Collard of Minerva, N.Y.; her nephews, Patrick Kushi of North Creek, N.Y. and Michael Kushi of Tupper Lake, N.Y. and her cousin Lisa Wallace of Chicago, Ill. She is also survived by two nieces.
Along with her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her brother, Leo Kushi, Jr.
Services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Brenda's name to the National Pancreas Foundation P.O. Box 750046, Atlanta, GA 30374 or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Donation Processing Center, P.O. Box 5041, Boone, IA 50950-0041.

We are so sorry for the loss of Brenda. She was beautiful on the inside and outside. She was always smiling, and her beautiful eyes were always sparkling! She was so kind and gentle. During high school she would drive by our house in her little Ford Mustang laughing and smiling and just enjoying life! Brenda you will continue to shine in heaven!
